  I was very happy with this store for the purchase of my engagement and wedding rings. However this last time buying from them was by far the worst ever. I put a ring on lay away. They put it back out on the shelf. Then after making a few payments in a month they called me and rudely asked me if I even still wanted it. This has been so bad I don't think I will buy there again.

  I am not usually one to write reviews about businesses, as I also work in customer service and tend to be very patient with others, but I couldn’t help but share my experience with Ashcroft & Oak Jewelers. Another girl and I purchased a heart-shaped charm from them in December to give to our close friend as a gift because it would be one year since her father passed away on January 17th. The day we purchased the charm the staff was very helpful, making sure to help us out in every way. We placed our order, which included the charm and a simple engraving on the front and backside. We made sure to specify that we needed the charm by January 17th, and were promised we could pick up the charm on January 15th, and that they would call me when it arrived in store. When January 16th arrived and I didn’t receive a call, I called the store myself and was told they didn’t know what the status of my order was and that they’d call me tomorrow, the day I needed the charm. It is now the next day and I do not receive a call, so I call back once again to find out that my charm was not shipped yet and they weren’t sure when it would be. They gave me an excuse that FedEx was backed up and something about Monday being Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which didn’t really make any sense. They asked if I wanted to cancel my order, but I still wanted to the charm, so I kept my order. They said it shouldn’t be long before it would be ready, and that they would call me when it is finished. It became February 6th and I grew impatient for the charm I was supposed to have almost a month earlier. I called and asked if they knew any information, and they told me they couldn’t find my order form and that they would call me tomorrow. After not calling, I called once again and they said it would be in tonight. They called, and I came in the next day to pick it up. The engraving wasn’t centered, but I didn’t complain because I was so done with dealing with them. I will not be shopping here again and am very disappointed.
